SPACE SURVIVAL SDL (3.0)
for AlephOne SDL

Included in this distribution is:
A map:					SpaceSurvival.map
A shapes file:				SpaceSurvivalShapes.sha
This read me:				Survival_ReadMe.txt


To get it all to work (for the newbies):

1. Place the map and shapes file in your AlephOne directory.
2. From the preferences --> environment menu of your AlephOne startup screen, select SpaceSurvival.map as your map and SpaceSurvivalShapes.sha  as your shapes.
3. Hold down control-shift while you click new game and select the game type (map) of your choice.


This is NOT a scenario map, they DO NOT go from one to the next... it's a collection.  Each map plays in a very unique way... one you will like more than the others.  DO NOT just automatically hit the "New Game" button, press control-shift first!



There are three versions of SpaceSurvival merged into the map file.  
    
The first map is the classic Space Survival shoot em up against the Rocket Marines, and a host of other friends.

The second map is the classic Space Survival shoot em up against the Rocket Marines. Just you and some "simulated" net players wanting to kill you.

The third map is a different design from the other two.  The architecture is different to allow for more practice situations.  i.e. footwork, aiming, etc. No Rocket Marines here, just monsters and an assimilated RM.  


The merged maps are:
1. Space Survival Marines - Complete and total mayhem with the Rocket Marines.
2. Space Survival Marines Only - Just the marines, no monsters.
3. Space Survival Regular - Monsters only for training and honing those killing skills.

[SPECIAL NOTES FOR THE SDL VERSION]

I use to distribute the shapes for this in a shape shuttle, but since you can't do that in the SDL version, you get the whole modified shapes file.  Sorry about the large download.
